In March of 2009 I retired from the City of Smyrna Georgia after 35 years. My interest in knives dates back many years however I never knew that I could actually make one myself until I attended my first Blade Show in 2000. Shortly thereafter, I found out about the Georgia Custom Knifemakers' Guild. The first member I met was Carl Rechsteiner. He gave me my first class on forging, tips on building my own propane forge, and he has answered hundreds of questions for me since. I will forever be in his debt.

I attended the American Bladesmith Society's Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing in 2008 (Washington Arkansas). I use both stock removal and forging to make my knives.

In 2013 I started working as an extra in movies and tv. Living in Georgia I'm blessed to be so near to many productions filming here. Among the shows I've worked on is The Walking Dead. I started on season 6 as a Savior and continued through season 10 as a Hilltopper and Walker. While working on the show, a crew member asked me to make him a Walking Dead themed knife. That blade is pictured on my main page.

If I can answer any questions, please feel free to call or write.
